On 24 May 2018, representatives of the Institute of Aviation and leading aviation and armaments companies will officially sign a letter of intent under the patronage of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education expressing their will to cooperate in the construction of the next-generation multipurpose turboprop aircraft ILX-34.

The event will take place as part of the “18th Polish-American Conference on Science and Technology – 100 years of Polish Science and Industry Cooperation” which is aimed at determining the condition and directions of development of Polish-American relations in the field of science and technology, as well as challenges and problems related to their implementation.

The official part of the meeting includes the presentation of the general objectives of the ILX-34 project, the signing of a letter of intent by the invited signatories and the presentation of medals of the Institute of Aviation commemorating the 100th anniversary of Polish Aviation.

Conference guests will also take part in thematic sessions devoted to aviation and space technologies. The highlight of the first day of the conference will be an expert panel with the participation of representatives of ministries as well as Polish and American academic staff on the challenges in the commercialization of scientific and research projects.

The second day of the event will be devoted to the subject of defense, security, new technologies as well as manufacturing technologies and composite materials.

The conference is organized jointly by the Institute of Aviation and Ohio State University.

The honorary patrons of the event are: the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Ministry of Investment and Development and the Industrial Development Agency.
