On October 22, 2018 the Presidential Palace organized a conference dedicated to the space industry with the special participation of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda. The Institute of Aviation marked its presence at the event by presenting the flagship project of the Center of Space Technologies – the ILR-33 “Amber” rocket with an on-board computer, an ecological hybrid engine and a GRACE satellite propulsion.
The event was intended to present Polish space technologies. Inside the Presidential Palace, exhibits of over twenty entities active in the space industry, have been presented.
The meeting gathered both young people creating ambitious projects and experienced specialists. Invited guests participated in a discussion panel organized especially for this occasion with the participation of leading representatives of the Polish space industry.
President Andrzej Duda expressed his hope that in the coming years – in accordance to the Polish Space Strategy prepared by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology – Polish activity will account for 3% of global turnover on the space market.
The conference was held within the “Technologies of the future” series organized by the Chancellery of the President of Poland, devoted to the challenges Polish entrepreneurs will face in the coming years in the field of innovation.
