The 29th edition of the International Defense Industry Exhibition MSPO is behind us. The Kielce trade fair was an opportunity to present the latest equipment and technology, as well as a place for meetings and industry conferences. As every year, the event could not miss a stand of the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation, which this year celebrates its 95th anniversary.

The Institute presented an offer in the field of aviation, space, unmanned, material, composite, additive technologies and publishing offer. More than 25 types of exhibits were shown at the stand, including – for the first time at MSPO – the ILR-33 AMBER 2K rocket.

Industry meetings – the aviation industry and the AMBER 2K rocket

The representatives of the Institute emphasized their presence at MSPO as organizers and participants of two events:

  • The role of the Polish aviation industry in creating the defense potential of the Republic of Poland. Opportunities, challenges, prospects (organizer: Polish Aviation Industry Association),
  • ILR-33 AMBER 2K rocket. Development, integration of domestic industry, international potential (organizer: Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation).

The host of the first meeting was the director of the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation and at the president of PAIA, Paweł Stężycki, PhD Eng. During the event, issues related to the current condition of the Polish aviation industry and its impact on the general shape of the national economy as well as the possibilities and ideas for its development both in the local and international context were discussed. An important part of the meeting was a panel discussion with industry experts and representatives of the Polish aviation industry, led by director Paweł Stężycki.

The second meeting was devoted to the AMBER 2K rocket – the project was presented by Adam Okniński, PhD Eng., head of the Space Technologies Department at Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation. R&D works, cooperation with industry and the international dimension of this project were discussed at the meeting.

A distinction on the occasion of the 95th anniversary

The MSPO traditionally ended with the Defender gala, during which the best solutions presented at the fair were awarded, and companies celebrating their anniversaries were honored – this year the statuette was presented to the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation, celebrating its 95th anniversary. The award was collected by the head of the Marketing and Communication Department, Marek Gospodarczyk.

This year’s fair was visited by 11,000 guests from all over the world. The exhibition was visited by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak and the Head of the National Security Bureau, Paweł Soloch.

The next, 30th edition of MSPO will be held on September 6-9, 2022.
