Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation and the Polish Space Agency won the Złoty Spinacz Award in a competition organized by the Polish Public Relations Consultancies Association. The award was given in the media relations category for the “Space game changer of Polish engineers” project. The award presentation took place on December 9, 2024 in Warsaw.
Złote Spinacze is the largest public relations competition in Poland. The main goal of the awards is to increase professionalism, raise standards in the public relations industry as well as to create a positive image of the industry by promoting the best, most creative and expertly implemented projects in Poland. The Złote Spinacze Awards also work to educate the business environment on the importance of public relations to business operations.
The “Space game changer of Polish engineers” that entered in the competition is a media campaign related to launching into space the ILR-33 AMBER 2K suborbital rocket developed at Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation. The test campaign took place on July 3, 2024 at Andøya Space Sub-Orbital in Norway. The Polish rocket reached a ceiling of 101 km, which was a historic achievement for Polish engineers. The testing involved the Polish Space Agency which co-financed the venture.
