On 28 August 2019 in the seat of the Industrial Development Agency (ARP) the final gala took place, during which the results of the recruitment process were announced in the internship competition “Space Sector Personnel Development” organized by the ARP and the Space Sector Employers’ Association in cooperation with companies associated in ZPSK. The event was attended by the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology, Jadwiga Emilewicz.
The winners of the competition (graduates or young scientists) will take part in paid internships in scientific institutes, research units and companies conducting business activity in the space sector, being entities associated in ZPSK or other entities operating in the space sector.
Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation was one of the institutions to which candidates could submit their applications. During the final gala we met our trainee – Marek Płochów, who from September will take part in the works of the Space Technologies Department. The internship agreement was signed on behalf of the Institute by the Director of the Center of Space Technologies, Dr. Leszek Loroch, who was present at the event.
The gala was also connected with the convention of people who participated in the ESA internship program in the past. The Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation currently employs 3 graduates of the programme (Ewa Majewska, Tomasz Noga, Adam Okniński).
During the event, a discussion panel was held, where our representatives shared their experiences of participating in the program. Ewa Majewska talked about working in 5 countries in the leading entities of the European sector, while Tomasz Noga talked about his foreign experiences, including the ILR-33 AMBER (BURSZTYN) project.
