On June 8-9, 2018, at the Lodz University of Technology, the 1st Space Conference organized by the Student Science Club “KOSMOS” was held. The aim of the conference was to promote and expand knowledge about space technologies among students and to integrate the people related to research and the space industry.
Representatives of the Center of Space Technologies at the Institute of Aviation, Tobiasz Mayer and Tomasz Noga were invited by the organizers to participate in the conference and to give a presentation: “ILR-33 “Amber” rocket – from design to flight”.
The presentation was well-received. Questions from participants concerned the stability of the peroxide, the material used to make the rocket body, comparisons to military missiles and sources of project financing.
The conference gathered a lot of interesting speakers, it was also characterized by interesting presentations and a high substantive level. Presentations on satellite projects, legal and biological aspects of space exploration and considerations on the chances of acquiring new resources appeared in the sessions as well.
