This year the Trade and Investment Promotion Section at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Egypt organized a promotional event for Polish companies operating in energy and lightening industry sectors, which took place from 4th until 6th December 2016 in Cairo, Egypt. The director of the Center of Transportation and Energy Conversion, Sylwester Wyka and Jakub Kapuściński from the same unit were the representatives of the Institute of Aviation during the ELECTRICS Cairo 2016. The event included participation in an information booth of the Trade and Investment Promotion Section, conferences and business meetings.
Visitors of the booth were especially interested in a “Mobile Hybrid Energy Container” developed by engineers from the Center of Transportation and Energy Conversion. This project was fully-recognized for its mobility and the possibility of any configuration. Representatives from the Middle East declared their willingness to establish a cooperation with the Institute of Aviation in scope of the optimization of small wind turbines, which due to its mobility are a promising direction of the development.
The Institute of Aviation representatives presented an offer and scope of the activity of the Center of Transportation and Energy Conversion not only on the promotional booth but also on a closed meeting for business and industry. Established this year, the Center is a response to the growing demand of markets for projects related to energy conversion. The changing economic situation and the relaxing of energy and fuel prices on the Middle East market also increased a demand for solutions related to renewable energy.
The Institute of Aviation representatives were also active during a meeting organized in the Chamber of Engineering Industries (CEI). The meeting was an opportunity to present the Institute of Aviation and information about the “Mobile Hybrid Energy Container”, wind turbines, a water turbine and an anti-drone system. CEI representatives declared their willingness to develop a research and implementation cooperation with the Institute of Aviation and to sign a document the Memorandum of Understanding with the Chamber and possibly with the University of Cairo. The document is set to be signed during the International Conference Euro MED organized by the National Chamber of Commerce in April 2017.
