On 24 May 2016 the Institute of Aviation hosted a seminar exploring the technologies and methods required for conducting world-class mechanical testing of aerospace materials, components and full-scale structures. The event was organised by the Materials and Structures Research Centre of the Institute of Aviation and ELHYS, an official representative of MTS in Poland.
The seminar programme included the following topics:
- Dynamic and monotonic testing of lightweight composites and high-temperature alloys
- Static and fatigue testing of aerospace components and structures
- New solutions in mechanical testing
- Methodologies of preparing specimens for fatigue testing of aircraft structures.
The event was attended by over 40 representatives of the companies who use MTS systems.
