Dyrektor Łukasiewicz Instytutu Lotnictwa Paweł Stężycki oraz inni paneliści podczas Italian Polish Aerospace Forum 2023

Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation and the Industry Contact Point “Smart and Clean Mobility” were supporting partners of the networking event of the Polish and Italian aviation industry: “Italian-Polish Aerospace Forum”. The event took place on November 22, 2023 in Warsaw.

This year’s edition of the Forum focused on two topics: transformation of the aviation sector in Poland and the importance of the space industry for the country’s economy, based on different approaches to the development of this sector both in Poland and Italy.

During the event, two discussion panels with experts took place. One of the panelists of the discussion on technical modernization and expansion of the capabilities of the Polish armed forces, was the director of the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation and the president of the Association of the Polish Aviation Industry, Dr. Eng. Paweł Stężycki.

The Director of the Institute emphasized the need to develop products and technologies based on industry in Poland (so-called “local content”). As an example of good cooperation, the director pointed to the Institute’s long-term global connections based on activity within EREA, IFAR, ASD associations and very good contacts with Italian companies and research institutes.

He also emphasized that the Institute is among the top 20 entities – the largest beneficiaries of the European Defense Fund (EDF) and successfully implements projects, also with Leonardo.

The event was accompanied by matchmaking for companies and scientists from the aviation industry, co-organized by the Industry Contact Point “Smart and Clean Mobility” (ICP SCM). The aim of the networking session was to establish new contacts aimed at the development of new research and development projects under the Horizon Europe program and partnerships in the program. ICP SCM experts provided their knowledge and experience in applying for the Horizon Europe program.
