On 24th April, 2014 the Institute of Aviation was visited by Deputy Minister of Economy Grażyna Henclewska. The visit was an opportunity to present the scope of research work in the field of aerospace technology carried out at the Institute of Aviation.
The delegation of the Ministry of Economy included: Otylia Trzaskalska – Stroińska – Deputy Director of the Innovation and Industry Department and Anna Nałęcz – Kobierzycka – Head of the Space Policy Department.
The meeting was attended by Director of the Institute of Aviation – Witold Wiśniowski, Director of Center of Space Technologies – Leszek Loroch, Director of Infrastructure – Leszek Rams, Professor Piotr Wolański – Center of Space Technologies , Manager of Space Technologies Team – Wojciech Florczuk and Jan Kotlarz – Center of Space Technologies.
The visit began in laboratories of the Institute of Aviation. Minister Henclewska visited Propulsion Laboratory, where the operation of the turbine engine with detonation chamber was presented. It was also mentioned that on 22-24 June 2014 at the Institute of Aviation the “International workshop on detonation for propulsion 2014” will take place. The workshop will be an opportunity to summarize 4 years of research works within the European project: “Turbine engine with detonation combustion chamber.”
The guests were also headed to the Space Technologies Team , where research on using highly concentrated hydrogen peroxide in HTP class in rocket engines are conducted.
The visit completed in the newly established Centre of Innovative Aeronautical and Space Technologies.
The second part of the visit took place in the main building of the Institute of Aviation. Minister Henclewska participated in a meeting where she was provided with the detailed information about new directions of activity of the Institute.
