September 11, 2012, Mrs. Angela Merkel and Mr. Waldemar Pawlak have opened the Berlin Airshow ILA 2012 in Berlin. German Chancellor and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland visited the booth, where the Institute of Aviation presented his achievements and offer. Great interest of the major producers of helicopters, airplanes, and the media enjoyed an unmanned helicopter – a robot for special duties ILX-27 implemented in cooperation with the Air Force Institute of Technology and Military Aviation Works No. 1 J.S.C., which had its world premiere at this exhibition. The helicopter was built in the Institute of Aviation in Warsaw. On the second day of the exhibition the booth of the Institute of Aviation visited 79-year-old Sergei Sikorsky, son of the creator of the first successful helicopter, and the founder and builder of the main long-term technology solutions in this company.
