Over 100 representatives from R&D institutions as well as aviation companies participated in the Small Aircraft Transport (SAT) Workshop organized at the Institute of Aviation. The workshop was held from 4 till 5 February 2016.
Clean Sky is the most ambitious aeronautical research program ever launched in Europe. Its mission is to develop breakthrough technologies to significantly increase the environmental performances of airplanes and air transport, resulting in less noisy and more fuel efficient aircraft, hence bringing a key contribution in achieving the Single European Sky environmental objectives.
The workshop was officially opened by the director of the Institute of Aviation, professor Witold Wiśniowski and Eric Dautriat – executive director of the Clean Sky Joint Undertaking. The aim of the workshop was to exchange views on the Clean Sky topic. The participants had also an opportunity to join two technical sessions (propulsion and avionics).
