On November 14-15, 2018, the CIRA (Italian Aerospace Research Center) hosted the third annual meeting summarizing the implementation of the SAT-AM project (More Affordable Small Aircraft Manufacturing). The meeting was attended by representatives of: Clean Sky2, Evektor, Piaggo Aerospace and project partners, i.e. the Institute of Aviation (the coordinator), Polskie Zakłady Lotnicze, EUROTECH, SZEL-TECH Szeliga Grzegorz, P.W. Metrol Dariusz Dąbkowski, ULTRATECH, MARKING DEVICES Margański & Mysłowski and Italian Aerospace Research Center.
The purpose of the meeting was the compliance assessment of the project results with the contract provisions, verification of the work carried out, and discussion on the work plan and project goals that are to be achieved in the next year.
The participants of the meeting had an opportunity to get acquainted with the CIRA research activities. The two-day meeting ended with a visit to the TECNAM factory.
The SAT-AM is a research project funded by the European Commission under the CLEAN SKY2 program. As a result of research, analyzes and implementations, new technologies of aircraft construction are being developed. Elements designed with the use of the latest technologies will be tested and then implemented as cabin components and engine nacelle of the M28 aircraft (PZL Mielec).
