Project Description:
The objective of the project is to enhance the quality of publishing and editorial practices and to increase the online visibility of the journal Fatigue of Aircraft Structures. The scope of activities aimed at developing publishing and editorial standards includes the verification of all submitted articles using an anti‑plagiarism system, reduction of publication time through ahead‑of‑print publishing, comprehensive language editing combined with text layout adjustment, and the dissemination of information about the journal by identifying new groups of readers and authors both in Poland and internationally.
Planned activities also include promotion of individual volumes through call for papers initiatives, preparation of a promotional leaflet, and its distribution during industry‑related and scientific events. These measures directly contribute to improving the quality of published research and increasing the journal’s attractiveness to authors.
The implementation of the project will result in increased citation rates, thereby strengthening the journal’s impact within the scientific community. Improved accessibility to published content will be achieved not only through keyword‑based searches but also through structured links between citing and cited entities, including authors, articles, and journals.
All articles published in Fatigue of Aircraft Structures are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), and all authors are identified using ORCID iDs. The full texts are made available in open access under the CC BY‑NC‑ND license via the journal’s website and the Repository of the National Library of Poland POLONA.
