From 20th till 23th of May 2016 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, as every year, the largest General Aviation exhibition was held. The Institute of Aviation contribution was also noticeable during the event.
The company Aviation Artur Trendak & Son presented, in the form of commercial products, the results of the project “Modern autorotation rotor”, which was carried out jointly with the Institute of Aviation in the framework of the Operational Programme Innovative Economy. The aim of the project was to develop a family of rotors designed specifically to work in autorotational mode.
The expample of the company’s gyroplanes was used to demonstrate an innovative composite rotor, as well as a family of aluminium rotors. Especially the latter have gained fully commercial applications, because there are almost 50 rotors flying over 16 countries.
