On March 5th, 2018 the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology Mrs. Jadwiga Emilewicz appointed Paweł Stężycki as the Director of the Institute of Aviation in Warsaw.
Paweł Stężycki started working at the Institute of Aviation in 2002. During his career he worked in managerial positions in GE Aviation, Energy, Oil & Gas and Aviation Systems businesses, covering also the role of Transportation and Energy Conversion Center Director in the Institute of Aviation (from April 2016). On all positions he was developing large teams and projects. From June 2016 he was the Director of the Engineering Design Center.
Paweł Stężycki graduated from the University of Technology, Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering with an Msc in Mechanical Engineering. In January 2018, he defended with honors a doctoral thesis related to the offshore industry.
Outside of his everyday duties, Paweł Stężycki is the President of the Polish Aeronautics and Astronautics Association and a member of international aviation organizations: the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences, the European Research Establishments in Aeronautics and the European Aeronautics Science Network.
As the director of the Institute of Aviation, he will combine his operational knowledge from large industrial companies with enthusiasm and substantive knowledge of the team as well as the laboratory and scientific background of the Institute of Aviation.
