On the beginning of April 2016 the Institute of Aviation opened the Transportation and Energy Conversion Department. Paweł Stężycki, M.Sc. Eng. was nominated acting director.
The Transportation and Energy Conversion Department will cover wide area of R&D, testing and technology development for ground, sea, rail and air transportation systems as well as for energy conversion from renewable to conventional resources. The intermediate aim of this center will be elaboration of solutions with chance for operative implementation with support from Polish and foreign industry. New projects will be acquired based on solutions and ideas of Warsaw Institute of Aviation employees as well as those leveraged from other scientific and economical organizations. The key of the Division’s operation will be close cooperation with scientific organizations and industry in Poland and abroad.
