This weekend, on June 16-17, 2018 in Sobienie Królewskie near Warsaw, an exceptional air show, in which the best Polish pilots have announced their participation, will take place. The show will be accompanied by numerous attractions for adults and youth. The event will also be attended by representatives of the Institute of Aviation who will wait for visitors in a special tent.
The sky over Sobienie will be brightened by the stars of Polish aviation, that celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Participation in the air show was confirmed by numerous teams. The audience will have the opportunity to see Jacek Mainka, Artur Kielak, Marek Choim, Łukasz Czepiela, Mateusz Strama and many others. The two-day program will cover 12 hours of group and individual aerobatics. The event will also feature the presentation of historical machines, such as Tiger Moth, Chipmunk, Bies TS-8, CSS-13, Harvard, AN-2, Hatz Classic.
Among the ground attractions for all participants professional golf lessons, aircraft exhibition, flight simulators, amusement park, video games zone, fitness zone, special zone for children, military equipment demonstrations and reconstruction groups, uniformed services stands, sightseeing flights are planned. A large part of the area will be also designated for gastronomy with grill gardens and food trucks.
The Sobienie Królewskie airport will be the center of the air show, having a 900-meter grass runway. Other attractions will be available on the wide, green area adjoining the runway. For people who come with their own cars, there will be 2 car parks, located 1.2 km from the main entrance. All participants will be provided with free shuttle buses.
The honorary patronage over the event was taken by: the marshal of the Mazovian Province, Adam Struzik, the Otwock starosty, Mirosław Pszonka and the head of the Sobienie commune, Stanisław Wirtek.
