11 – 16 September, 2012 in Germany took place Hovercraft World Cup. With the help of the Institute of Aviation four hovercraft pilots from the Hovercraft Club of Poland could take part in the tournament. In the Junior Formula Justyna Jachimczak, in the F 2 Maciej Uchman, F 50 Jakub Furmański, F 35 Krzysztof Szafran. The Championship have been organized perfectly. Unfortunatelly a tragic accident happened during the event – one hovercraft pilot died.
Hovercraft flights are very fast growing sport discipline. There is a chance that next year the World Championships take place in Poland. We wish luck to all hovercraft pilots from the polish team!
