The 36th Conference & 30th Symposium of the International Committee on Aeronautical Fatigue and Structural Integrity will be held on June 2-7, 2019 in Cracow, Poland. The organizers of the event are International Committee on Aeronautical Fatigue and Structural Integrity (ICAF) and Institute of Aviation.
The International Committee on Aeronautical Fatigue and Structural Integrity (ICAF) was formed in 1951 in response to the growing concerns regarding fatigue problems in aircraft structures. The scope of ICAF interests has expanded over the years to include most aspects of aircraft structural integrity. The stated aims of ICAF are to encourage contacts between people actively engaged in aircraft structural integrity problems and to exchange information.
To this end, a conference and a symposium are organized every two years for representatives of industry, universities and institutes, regulatory agencies and operators throughout the world.
The two-day conference consists of reviews of aeronautical fatigue activities presented by the national delegates of the 17 member nations of ICAF. It is followed by the three-day symposium that involves specialist papers presented by authors with design, manufacturing, airworthiness regulations, operations and research backgrounds.
