How to conduct marketing of scientific and research organizations to effectively promote commercialization? What role do such institutions play in building competitive advantages for companies internationally? What are the characteristics of science marketing and how to use it in recruitment campaigns? How to conduct effective influencer marketing in accordance with OCC guidelines (Office of Competition and Consumer Protection)? These are just a sample of the questions that will be answered at the 13th European Forum on Marketing of Scientific and Research Organizations by Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation. The event will take place on November 7-8, 2024 in Warsaw.
Scientific and research institutions play an important role in the ecosystem of the global economy. It is in such institutions that scientists, engineers, high-level specialists conduct research and development projects, test and implement new solutions and technologies. These are then adapted by companies in various industries: energy, automotive, mining, aerospace, pharmaceutical, or military. Successful implementation depends on effective and long-term cooperation between research institutes, scientific centers and companies.
“Marketing activities of scientific and research institutions play a key role in building competitive advantages for manufacturers of new technologies. Why? Thanks to the research, testing and knowledge of scientists, companies save time, resources that they would have to incur by creating their own R&D teams and specialized infrastructure. The reputation of an institution, the competence of engineers even become a guarantee of quality. This is an additional value in the eyes of the end user. It will not be there without well-thought-out, accurate marketing activities, the effectiveness of which we will discuss during the 13th European Forum for Scientific and Research Organizations”, says Sylwester Wyka, Ph.D. Eng., deputy director for research at Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation.
13th European Forum for Scientific and Research Organizations – what awaits participants?
The European Forum for Scientific and Research Organizations is an event that focuses on contemporary challenges related to promotion, public relations, e-marketing, EB campaigns, as well as positioning market advantages in relation to the B2B, B2B2C or B2C segment.
“The success of scientific and research institutions is mainly the result of close cooperation with representatives of business and, increasingly, public administration, forming the so-called triple helix. Without the cooperation of the various parties that make up the modern business ecosystem, based on strong network connections, it is difficult to create added value for individual players and the whole system. Hence, this year’s European Forum for Scientific and Research Organizations is a space where representatives of the scientific community, business and public administration meet to inspire each other, discuss and share best practices in order to develop a new – common code of effective and modern marketing activities of research and scientific institutions. Technological advances are also encroaching on marketing strategies. Existing tools and ways of market communication are supported by digital solutions. Therefore, the necessity arises to jointly build new ways of market communication, based on cooperation and mutual respect”, says Professor Joanna Cygler of the Warsaw School of Economics and Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation.
