Susan X. Ying, PhD, a former president of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS), and currently vice president of the Californian technology company Ampaire providing solutions for electric aircraft visited the Institute of Aviation on November 15, 2018.
The meeting was aimed at identifying potential areas of cooperation. For this purpose, a presentation of research capabilities and R&D programs and projects carried out at the Institute of Aviation was held, including an innovative turboprop aircraft ILX-34.
Susan X. Ying has 35 years in aerospace industry including Boeing, COMAC, NASA and as the president of ICAS, as well as over 1,000 hours of pilot-in-command flight experience. She is responsible for the technology strategy and international relations of Ampaire.
