On Wednesday, December 5, 2012 in the Institute of Aviation has been tested observation system installed on the specially prepared experimental hovercraft PRC-600. Air pump connected to the mast allows the ejecting of mast segments. At the top of the mast was installed a head equipped with a camera that can be moved along three axes (rotate, roll, tilt). Head with a camera equipped with a spirit level, compass and GPS sensor is stabilized. The camera is controled using a portable computer, on which is also displayed a image from the camera. After ejecting the mast was possible to see airplanes on the runway of the Chopin airport. The tests confirmed the usefulness of a system and allowed to specify which elements of the system need improvement.
