The "Scientists in Schools Connecting Dreams" educational program

The “Scientists in Schools Connecting Dreams” educational program was initiated by the Łukasiewicz Institute of Aviation (Łukasiewicz – ILOT), one of the most modern research institutions in Europe, with traditions dating back to 1926. The program’s launch in 2026 honors the 100th anniversary of the Institute, as well as the work and achievements of its outstanding scientists and engineers. The initiative is aimed at primary and secondary school students from across Poland. It aims to inspire future generations to transform their dreams into practical solutions and contribute to the creation of aviation, space, and related technologies.

“Scientists in Schools Connecting Dreams” – the program’s purpose and key assumptions

The goal of the “Scientists in Schools Connecting Dreams” program is to popularize scientific achievements in aviation, space, advanced engineering, and related fields. It aims to inspire and motivate students to study science and choose a career in engineering.

The program is based on three pillars:

  1. Education based on the STEM model (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), which involves the practical application of knowledge through project-based classes and workshops.
  2. Visits by scientists from the Łukasiewicz Institute of Aviation to schools, during which scientific achievements are presented. Students participate in experiments, create projects, and test their practical applications.
  3. The program is aimed at primary and secondary school students from across Poland.
