On the 7th September 2016, the Institute of Aviation was a venue for the Board Meeting of the EREA Future Sky programme.
The programme is a joint research initiative of research institutes belonging to EREA. The aim of the programme is to ensure technological development to the benefit of European society and industry. Future Sky’s overall goal is Twenty-four-seven Enablers (TSE) as outlined in Flightpath 2050. This concept describes full airside mobility, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Four major pillars in the Future Sky programme are Safety, Vehicle, System and Energy.
The participants of the Board meeting were: FS Chair Josef Kaspar, Director of VZLU as well as other Board members representing research establishments from EREA, such as: DLR, NLR, CIRA, CSEM, CEIIA,FOI, INCAS, ONERA. The Institute of Aviation in the Future Sky Board is represented by Prof. CezaryGaliński.
