Director of the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation, Paweł Stężycki, has been nominated to the new management board of the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD).
ASD is the voice of the European aerospace, defense and security industries, with 18 largest European companies and 23 national associations in 18 countries as direct members.
Poland in ASD is represented by the Polish Aviation Industry Association whose new president elected in June this year is also director Stężycki.
The term of office of the ASD management board is scheduled for 2 years until 2023.

The aim of the ASD is to promote the best interest of industry in dialogue with the EU institutions and other stakeholders. The association contributes to the development of effective policy and legislation at European and global level by promoting common positions; it also promotes international cooperation and dialogue with other associations and international organizations.
