The World Birdstrike Association together with the Civil Aviation Office organize an international conference “Bird / Wildlife Strike Prevention” which will be held on November 19-21, 2018. The conference will be devoted to reducing the risks to air traffic associated with the occurrence and activity of animals. The event will take place at the Club of the Military University of Technology in Warsaw.
This year, the Institute of Aviation acts as a sponsor of the event. Representatives from the Materials and Structures Research Center (part of the Institute of Aviation) will take an active part in workshop sessions where they will present their experiences in the field of collision studies with birds and other small objects as well as collision tests of energy-consuming structures, including 3D printed ones.
