A model of Stratospheric Long Endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (SLE UAV) “Baraguar” is being created as part of the HESOFF project. The 1:8 model built by uAvionics will be transferred to the Remote Sensing Division of the Institute of Aviation in the second quarter of 2018.
The model will be used for the purposes of the HESOFF project to perform photogrammetric flights over the researched areas of the forest on Krotoszyńska Plate. The combination of this UAV with a multispectral camera will allow, among others, for health monitoring of large forest complexes.
Baraguar is a flying platform with an airframe mechanical structure. It is equipped with pushing electric drive and it can be equipped with photovoltaic panels. Thanks to the autopilot system, the model can perform missions in autonomous, semi-automatic and manual mode. In addition, if the range of the manual control is lost, the model is able to automatically return above the starting point.
