The fifth edition of the internship program: “Development of human resources in the space sector”, addressed to university graduates and young scientists who associate their future with the space sector, has been completed. 9 winners out of 101 candidates nominated in the 5th edition of the competition, were selected to start in September their space careers in the companies of their choice. The partner of the program was Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation, which in this year’s edition was the top selected institution among applicants.
It is our pleasure to announce that Damian Grabowski has been selected for internship at our institute and he will support the Space Technologies Department in the field of ecological propulsion systems for satellites.
– Our interns have a chance to participate in advanced research projects in which they can expand their engineering knowledge. The technologies that we are developing will have a direct impact on the possibility of implementing domestic products in the niche of ecological satellite propulsion on the domestic and European market – says Adam Okniński, PhD, head of the Space Technologies Department at Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation.
The internship program “Development of human resources in the space sector” organized by the Industrial Development Agency JSC and the Polish Space Industry Association is the first nationwide internship program aimed at developing human resources for the space sector. The winners of the competition (graduates or young scientists) take part in paid internships in the Polish Space Industry Association members institutions or other entities operating in the space sector.
Participation in the competition is profitable for all participants in terms of possibility to market themselves to potential employers. In previous editions of the competition, about 80% of the winners found permanent employment in companies where they previously held an internship.
