On 21st February at the Bialystok University of Technology took place the 8th Indoor Free-Flight Competition. Institute of Aviation funded statuettes for winners.
This year in the competition participated a record number of competitors – a total of 194 people who took part in 5 categories. The youngest participant was 4 years old, the oldest – 75.
During the competition was held a summary of the local edition of the art contest announced by the World Air Sports Federation (FAI) – “Poster of the FAI World Air Games – Dubai 2015”.
In three categories, 96 art works from 20 schools and one non-school institution from Podlaskie voivodeship were sent.
The Jury awarded 3 prizes and 19 recognitions.
For the first time in the competition took part the children from the Orphanage in Białystok and modellers from Kaliningrad Oblast (Russia).
During the event were also carried out: an exhibition of the awarded and recognized works of the art contest, an exhibition of model aircrafts and a presentation of the parachute section of the Aero Club of Bialystok.
The statuettes funded by the Institute of Aviation have been essential from the beginning of the event since 2008, when it has been jointly organized with the share of the Institute.
