On September 18-19, 2023, the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation delegation participated in the 3rd Polish Economic and Technology Forum in Bern, Switzerland. The Institute was represented by the director, Dr. Paweł Stężycki and Prof. Dr. Joanna Cygler – director’s proxy for the organization of scientific research, who co-created the technological part of the Forum.

Representatives of the Institute were part of a delegation from the Łukasiewicz Research Network led by the Vice President for International Cooperation, Dr. Marcin Kraska. The Łukasiewicz – Institute of Industrial Chemistry and the Łukasiewicz – Institute of New Chemical Syntheses participated also in the Forum.

The Forum was attended by 200 participants including Swiss and Polish authorities, business, science and World Economic Forum representatives.

The Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation presented the possibilities of technological cooperation with Swiss partners. Director Paweł Stężycki participated in the panel moderated by Vice President Marcin Kraska: “Technologies of the future as development drivers for modern states and societies. Polish – Swiss technology cooperation: areas, priorities, and challenges”. Prof. Dr. Joanna Cygler participated in the panel: “Europe on the path of development and technological competition: Industrial Revolution 4.0 or rather 5.0? Polish and Swiss perspectives on chances and risks”. Both panels were considered the most important in the technological part of the entire Forum.

The statements of the members of the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation delegation were met with great interest and recognition by the Forum participants. As a result, the first inquiries about cooperation appeared.

The participation of Łukasiewicz Research Network representatives in the 3rd Polish Economic and Technology Forum in Switzerland strengthened the position of the Łukasiewicz institutes on the international scientific map. They presented as reliable partners for technological cooperation with enterprises at any latitude and longitude.
