The 3rd Polish-Brazilian Conference on Science and Technology was held on 6-8 November 2017. This conference, organized jointly by The Institute of Aviation and the University of Brasilia, took place this time in the auditorium of the Rectorate of the University of Brasilia.
As every year, it was an opportunity for scientists and representatives of government and industry of both countries to present their achievements, make new contacts, and develop collaboration in scientific and industrial projects. Director of the Engineering Design Center, Paweł Stężycki was the head of a numerous Institute of Aviation delegation.
Special guests from the Polish side included the President of the Polish Space Agency Piotr Suszyński and Member of the Board of the Polish Armaments Group Szczepan Ruman. The Brazilian side was equally well represented.
The Polish-Brazilian Economic Forum, organized by the Embassy of Poland in Brasilia, was an integral part of the conference. Representatives of both countries, among which the Institute of Aviation, were able to present their offers of business collaboration.
The Polish Delegates had the honor to participate in the ceremony celebrating the Polish National Independence Day November 11th, organized by the Embassy of Poland, the Polish Veterans’ Association, and the Brazilian Armed Forces. During this solemn military ceremony in the Mausoleum of Brazilian Soldiers fallen during World War II, a wreath was laid at the main monument, and flowers on the graves of Brazilian soldiers of Polish heritage.
