On June 23, 2017 the 12th National Rotorcraft Forum was held at the Institute of Aviation. The meeting brought together numerous scholars and experts from the aviation industry. This year’s edition was an opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Mi-2 helicopter presence in the Polish Air Force.
During the Forum many technical papers on aerodynamics, operation and construction of rotorcraft were presented. A separate session was devoted to the 50th anniversary of Mi-2 service in Poland. The papers focused on the use of these helicopters in military and sanitary aviation.
The organizer of the meeting was the Institute of Aviation. The conference was co-organized by: Air Force Institute of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology and Lublin University of Technology.
Professor Kazimierz Szumański was the initiator and main organizer of the National Rotorcraft Forum.
