The representatives of Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation, were present during the Clean Aviation Preparatory Group Meeting in Brussels on the 26th October 2021. At the meeting, it was confirmed that the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation is one the Founding Members of the Clean Aviation Partnership among the largest European aviation companies, research institutes and institutions such as EASA.

The aim of the meeting was to define the framework of the Clean Aviation Partnership, that is the continuation of the Clean Sky and Clean Sky 2 Programmes within the European Commission. The objectives of the Clean Aviation are focused on the development of the technology of aviation technologies enabling the implementation of the ambitious plans of the European Union related to achieving climate neutrality in 2050.

Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation is one the Founding Members of the Clean Aviation Partnership. This group includes such aviation companies as Airbus, Thales, AvioAero, SAFRAN, Rolls Royce, Leonardo or Piaggio Aerospace, well-known research institutes such as DLR, ONERA, NLR, CIRA, INCAS or European institutions related to aviation such as EASA.

During the meeting, the current state of work on establishing the Clean Aviation Partnership was discussed. According to the schedule presented, a Membership Agreement will be signed this year. This will allow for the preparation and launch of further activities, including the announcement of the first call for proposals.
