Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation and General Company Electric Polska Sp. z o.o. began celebrating the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Engineering Design Center – one of the largest design offices in Europe.
In April 2000, the then Institute of Aviation and General Electric signed an agreement that initiated many years of cooperation between Polish engineers and scientists with the American concern.
Over the past 20 years, EDC has grown from a small organization to one of the world’s most respected design offices. Currently, nearly 1500 people are employed here. EDC engineering teams work for the needs of aviation, energy and petroleum industries.
– EDC is a great example of successful public-private partnership. Here, we combine the organizational culture of one of the largest engineering companies with the research and development facilities of the research institute. People whose knowledge and commitment are always highly valued are EDC’s greatest capital. Thank you to all EDC employees, both on the side of the Institute and GECP, for 20 years of very successful cooperation – says the director of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation, Paweł Stężycki, PhD.
