On July 5, 2018, the 242nd anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence was celebrated at the residence of the US ambassador in Warsaw. At the invitation of the US Embassy, in the event took part Joanna Cygler – director’s plenipotentiary for the organization of scientific research at the Institute of Aviation.
The event gathered many distinguished guests and representatives of the most well-known American companies, also from the aviation industry. The highlight of the evening was the fireworks display. The musical setting was provided by the Polish Army Orchestra and DJ Hirek Wrona.
Strong ties between Poland and the United States can be seen primarily in the current business and scientific cooperation. In 2000, the Institute of Aviation signed an agreement with one of the most powerful American companies, General Electric, regarding the establishment of the Engineering Design Center, where projects for the aviation industry are implemented. The Institute of Aviation is the organizer of a series of Polish-American science and technology conferences and also a research partner of the Ohio State University.
