Agreement on cooperation between the Institute of Aviation, General Electric Company, Poland and Warsaw University of Technology
Engineering Design Center (EDC), engineering center established in 2000 at the Institute of Aviation in conjunction with General Electric, concluded today with the Warsaw University tripartite cooperation agreement providing for the participation of EDC in the education of students of Warsaw University.

Engineering Design Center (EDC), engineering center established in 2000 at the Institute of Aviation in conjunction with General Electric, concluded with the Warsaw University tripartite cooperation agreement providing for the participation of EDC in the education of students of Warsaw University.
In an agreement event the Institute of Aviation represented Assoc. Eng. prof. Associate. Witold Wiśniowski, from the General Electric Company Poland Magdalena Nizik – President, from the Warsaw University of Technology – prof. Assoc. Eng. Jan Szmidt – Rector of the Polytechnic.
Areas covered by the agreement are: the wider energy, automation, data communications, mathematics, electronics, chemistry, engineering, materials engineering and environmental engineering related to the application in the airline industry, energy and oil and gas. The agreement, Warsaw University of Technology students will be able to include dispense in EDC Graduate Internships and scientific circles and University departments will be able to realize the EDC joint research projects.

– Today’s agreement is another important step in the development of EDC Warsaw. We look forward to
that we will be able to participate in the education of the future elite of Polish engineers, which undoubtedly include the students of Warsaw University of Technology. From our point of view are crucial joint research projects, so that together with the University of Technology will be able to develop new, innovative solutions for industrial and technical infrastructure – says Magdalena nizik, CEO of General Electric Company Poland.

EDC has become one of the most important scientific and business partners for the Polish technical universities and has an increasing contribution to the development of innovative ideas Polish. I am very pleased that our institute has its share of that, too – says Witold Wiśniowski, Director of the Institute of Aviation.
Included with the Warsaw University agreement provides:
- EDC employees’ participation in the process of curriculum Warsaw University of Technology
- EDC employees’ participation in the educational process of students,
- Internships for students of Warsaw University of EDC,
- implementation of theses, and dissertations in the transitional areas of common research interests of both institutions,
- implementation of joint research projects and teaching
- cooperation in scientific circles,
- Common applications for funding of projects in the competition for funding research and teaching in subject areas common to both institutions,
- EDC promoting jobs for engineers, graduates of PW and persons undertaking studies after graduation,
- joint efforts to promote technical education at all levels of education in Poland.

Provides influx into the labor market of graduates who combine a scientific knowledge with the experience and skills to enable them to further his career.
