On September 18th, 2017 there was held the first Scientific Council session of the Institute of Aviation for the term of 2017-2021. During the event the Presidium of Scientific Council was appointed by a secret ballot, composed of:

Deputy Chairmen of the Scientific Council:
– Prof. Roman Domański, Dr. Eng., Dr. habil., Institute of Aviation
– Prof. Maciej Bossak, Dr. Eng., Dr. habil., Institute of Aviation
Secretary of the Scientific Council:
– Grzegorz Socha, Dr. Eng., Dr. habil.,Institute of Aviation
Chairman of the Standing Committee on Science and Research Policy:
– Prof. Zdobysław Goraj, Dr. Eng., Dr. habil.,Institute of Aviation
Chairman of the Standing Economic, Organizational and Human Resources Committee
– Jerzy Żółtak, Ph.D., Institute of Aviation
In addition, the Scientific Council appointed a Committee for the Revitalization of the Polish Aviation Industry. The secretary of the Committee was appointed by Prof. Marek Orkisz, Dr. Eng., Dr. habil. from Rzeszów University of Technology.
