On May 11, 2017, scientists and authorities of the Faculty of Power and Aeronautics of the Warsaw University of Technology met with representatives of the Engineering Design Center (joint venture of the Institute of Aviation and General Electric) at the technology seminar “From science to implementation” organized in cooperation with both institutions.
The topics of the meeting were modern technologies used in aviation engines, avionics and power industry. In addition to the presentations of the EDC and FPA, the staff of both institutions presented key joint-research initiatives and the students presented the most important research projects carried out in the scientific circles.
The purpose of the seminar was to strengthen the design, research and didactic cooperation between the FPA research staff and the EDC engineers. The result of such activities will be shared benefits in the form of opportunities for researchers to develop their interests and research projects based on jobs and practices for graduates and students, and places for joint projects.
The meeting took place at the Institute of Thermal Technology of the Warsaw University of Technology. The seminar was attended by Dean of FPA Faculty, President of General Electric Company Polska, Director of EDC at the Institute of Aviation, EDC staff and employees, PhDs and representatives of scientific circles of MEIL Faculty.
