The Institute of Aviation held an information meeting devoted to the topic of UAVs. The meeting kicked off on May 12, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at the Institute’s premises. The organizers were the Institute of Aviation and the Association of Unmanned Aerial Systems.
During closed part of the meeting, representatives of Polish leading research institutes and public administration discussed the key issues related to the safe operation of unmanned aerial systems.
The open section took place with the participation of experts from the Civil Aviation Office, Polish Air Navigation Services Agency, Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection (National Research Institute), dlapilota.pl (creator of a Droneradar app, droneradar.eu) and the Institute of Aviation. Specialists answered questions on the safe use of unmanned vehicles for amateur and professional purposes, and shared knowledge about current regulations.
Detailed scope of the meeting in the open part:
- hazards arising from the operation of the UAS,
- UAS flight rules and regulations,
- air management in Poland,
- features offered to UAS operators by Droneradar.
