On Monday, March 27, 2017, at the Victoria Hotel in Warsaw, the conference entitled “Civil research institutes support the security of Poland” was organized by the Main Council of Research Institutes under the honorary patronage of the National Security Bureau.
In addition to numerous representatives of the uniformed services, the event was attended by the Undersecretary of State from the Ministry of National Defense, Prof. Dr habil. Wojciech Fałkowski. Presentations in the four thematic sessions (Materials and Technologies, Vehicles and Equipment, Electronic and Information Technology, Human and Environmental Protection) were delivered by representatives of twenty research institutes.
During the “Vehicles and equipment” session, the director of the Center of Space Technologies, Leszek Loroch, PhD Eng., in his speech entitled “Rocket engines for space, military and research applications. Anti-drone system” presented the Institute of Aviation’s work that may be applied to improve the security of the country. Thematic sessions were supplemented by the poster session during which the Institute’s posters – “Rocket Technologies” and “Anti-drone system” were presented.
