During this year’s IFAR Summit, Prof. Szczepański began his two-year term as Chair of IFAR.

In his inaugural address, he presented a vision for the Forum’s future development, focusing on strengthening the role of early-career researchers in international collaboration and enhancing the cooperation between research institutions and the global aviation industry.

Prof. Szczepański succeeded Bruno Sainjon, Director of ONERA, who completed his term as Chair.

As an international organization, IFAR brings together 60 member institutions from across the world — including NASA, JAXA, DLR, NRC Canada, and ONERA. By connecting the world’s leading research centers, IFAR provides a unique platform for the exchange of knowledge, inspiration, and joint action toward the sustainable development of aviation.
