Description: The book presents the method and results of computer analysis of flat and axial-symmetrical supersonic flow, taking into account the viscosity and thermal conductivity of gas, for moderate Mach numbers and Raynolds numbers. The method of solving these problems uses Navier-Stokes equations assuming that a gas is perfect in a thermodynamic sense,
with a constant Prandtla number and a constant exponent of Poisson’s adiabat when the viscosity and thermal conductivity coefficients are known functions of temperature.
The flow analysis was carried out on the assumption that the flow remains laminar and that flat and axial-symmetrical bodies are flown at zero angles of attack. The book is intended for researchers and engineers dealing with numerical solutions to problems of fluid mechanics.
It can also be useful for students of older years of technical studies in the following fields: aeroplanes and helicopters, aircraft engines, fluid-flow machines.
