Description: This book is devoted to presenting the situation of interregional air transport in Poland and discussing the most important problems related to the pursuit of objectives set in strategic plans for the development of transport and regions. The issue of interregional air transport was considered comprehensively using many years of experience and knowledge gained during the implementation of construction and research projects in which the author took a leading part. Against the background of the existing state of affairs and development forecasts, the book shows the main issues related to the achievement of the set objectives and presents the necessary undertakings for their solution. It concerns in particular knowledge about phenomena and factors determining the directions and pace of development of interregional air transport services, such as: O-D passenger traffic in the inter-urban network and its structure, elements of door-to-door travel time and existing reserves, generalised travel costs and its components, time schedules of travelers, energy consumption of transport means and their impact on the environment and safety issues.
