Description: The author participated in the work of a team of specialists from the Institute of Aviation in Warsaw, designing turbine jet engines of SO-3 and K-15 type. He was particularly interested in issues related to their power supply and control systems. At the beginning of the book, issues concerning mathematical modelling and computer simulation of single-rotor turbine jet engines, treated as control objects, were discussed. Special attention was paid to the properties of engines resulting from the fact that they are dynamic, strongly nonlinear objects. Various methods of building simulation models and special forms of their use in the form of nonlinear observers are presented. The book ends with a review of issues related to monitoring the degree of natural engine wear and tear during operation. The spectra of operational loads of the prototype K-15 engine, obtained during the monitoring of selected parameters of its operation on the I-22 IRYDA plane, are shown. Several proposals of natural engine wear indicators K-15 during operation were defined and examples of their practical application were presented.
