Description: The first publication in the series Historical Library of the Institute of Aviation. Collective work edited by Monika Czech. The book was written to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Professor Tadeusz Soltyk’s birthday. It presents visions of the development of aviation, passion for creation and everyday effort in the design, construction and testing of Polish aircraft. It presents the economic, social and cultural effects of Professor’s work. The publication is conceived as a combination of four threads: biographical impressions on Professor, presentations of aircrafts created and co-created by Professor between the 1930s and 1970s, economic and social effects in the area of expansion and modernisation of Polish aerospace factories, universities, research institutes, aviation schools, aeroclubs, and the education of tens of thousands of pilots and engineers.
