Marian Lubieniecki - Chairman of the Management Board of the General Electric Company Polska Sp. z o.o and the Managing Director of the GE Engineering Design Center. Marian Lubieniecki graduated from University of Gdańsk with a MSc degree at the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology. Later he obtained a PhD in technical sciences in the field of ship propulsion at the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences, also in Gdańsk. He continued his research at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. Marian Lubieniecki was one of the first employees of GE Aviation at the Engineering Design Center. In 2000 he started working as a Constructor Engineer in the Turbine Airfoils team, where he held several managerial positions for seven years. In 2007, he founded the Oil & Gas team at EDC, responsible for gas and oil extraction and transmission technologies. This team he transformed into an organization of hundreds of people, becoming himself its Executive Director. During this period, he also developed cooperation with Polish universities to educate staff for the new industries in Poland, especially for the underwater technologies that were created at EDC. In 2016 Marian Lubieniecki was appointed his current role in which apart from running the center, he also supports the development of the aviation and energy sector through participation in industry associations. |
