Biography
João Pedro Taborda is Embraer’s Director External Relations, Europe, Middle East and Africa since 2005. He’s based in Brussels covering institutional relations and the regulatory environment in the region.
Previously João worked as a research analyst in Countertrade, Defense and Aeronautics at a Portuguese-based think tank on industrial policy.
He is a mechanical engineer with a Master of Science Degree in Technology Management, under a joint program between Technical University of Lisbon and the University of Texas at Austin.
He is an invited teacher in the Post-graduation, MBA and Master of Science Programs at ISEG, the Economics and Management University of Lisbon.
Before joining Embraer he was a member of the SME Group of AECMA, the Brussels-based European Association of Aerospace Industries (currently ASD), as the representative of the Portuguese Small and Medium Sized companies.
João has been working in Embraer’s Évora projects since a first team was created on the subject in 2006. He’s a member of the Board at Pemas, the Portuguese Aerospace Association, a member of the Board of the Portuguese-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and member of the World Portuguese Network
