Deputy Minister of Development and Technology, Micha\u0142 Jaros, announced at a press conference in Mielec that the government will sign an industry contract with the aerospace sector later this year. The contract will address, among other things, funding for research and development, personnel training, transformation of production processes and digitization of the aviation sector in Poland.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n


The industry contract is a coherent national strategy for the aviation sector, which is also in place in other countries (including Germany, France and the UK). The contract means systemic programs and financial support that will translate into the functioning of the entire economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Talks between the industry and government sides on the industry contract have been going on for several years in working groups. The talks were initiated by the Association of the Polish Aerospace Industry (APAI) and the Aviation Valley Key Cluster (AV), which includes Lukasiewicz Aviation Institute, which also played an initiating and integrating role for the industry and government community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, APAI and AV together with EY prepared a report \u201cPolish Aerospace Industry. Potential and prospects for development\u201d. In it, industry experts sounded the alarm that without incentives and financial support instruments operating in other countries, there is no chance for further development of this sector and the resulting benefits for the Polish economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the EY report, the aviation sector in Poland is made up of more than 100 diverse companies, with more than 32,000 employees in the sector alone, and this translates into more than 64,000 additional jobs in other sectors of the economy. Each PLN 1 million of added value generated by the aviation industry leads to the creation of PLN 1.8 million of added value in other branches of the economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
