The event took place on March 12-14, 2024 in Montreal, Canada.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Director of the \u0141ukasiewicz \u2013 Institute of Aviation, Pawe\u0142 St\u0119\u017cycki, was invited to participate in the discussion panel as vice-chairman of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ifar.aero\/\">IFAR<\/a>&nbsp;(International Forum for Aviation Research). During the panel, director St\u0119\u017cycki focused on the necessary need to digitize aviation certification processes. During his presentation, director St\u0119\u017cycki emphasized the versatility of the so-called digital twins throughout the entire life cycle of the aircraft, from design and production to operation and maintenance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Digital twins offer immersive aviation training experiences by simulating real-world scenarios for pilots, mechanics and air traffic controllers. They play a key role in pilot training, enabling safe practice in a variety of weather conditions without endangering real aircraft. Additionally, they are revolutionizing maintenance training by providing virtual scenarios to diagnose and repair problems, improving efficiency and reducing costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Director St\u0119\u017cycki also raised the issue of the need to shorten the product life cycle in aviation due to rapid technological progress and economic and environmental pressure. By integrating digital technologies, we can significantly reduce development time and costs while ensuring aircraft reliability and safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the conference, director St\u0119\u017cycki met with ICAO Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar to discuss further cooperation between ICAO and IFAR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur partnership, which began in 2022, has already delivered significant results, including the development of a scientific assessment of urban air mobility.
